Paris in 5 Days- Top 10 places to visit and Desserts to try!!

DESSERTS FROM PARIS

1. Chocolate Croissants !

costa coffee

Every nook and corner has a patisserie and every patisserie has the most delicious french pastries!!! This was part of my breakfast every day, and i never got bored of it. Just indulge in the food culture here … Sharing a special memory I had at costa cafe. This was Day 2 in Paris , the hotel was right next to Costa… I felt very nostalgic as it brought memories from England which was where I had spent 3 years before moving to California. I grabbed a coffee and my favorite chocolate croissant and worked on final edits of my very second blog post article from here!

2. Chocolate Treats

vicens

France has some great chocolates, i don’t know if it comes from being a good neighbor, of a country (Switzerland) that produces the worlds finest chocolates , but their chocolates are heaven !!! There was this one chocolate shop, “Maison Vicens”,  that we stumbled upon as we were heading back to our hotel….. STOKED !! They hand out free samples (bonus!) which will leave you so confused as to which ones to pick. I remember my kids being asleep from jet lag and we had forgotten our strollers. I’d like to call these “parenting pictures” aka “single handed pictures”, but you pretty much get the idea….yea?!

I loved dessert made with marzipan and caramel. I tried communicating with the owner that barely understood any English , luckily a lady helped translate that i needed more information for my readers. He was excited and gave me a few leaflets. I am going to upload them in pdf so you can have more details of this gem of a location.

3. Crème Brulee

crembrule

When you get to France and ask the locals what you must try, as one of the most recommended comes-  Creme Brulee!!! Ive always loved Crem Brule…. but try it in the country that it was first made it, and experience the difference !! The caramel on top and the soft vanilla pudding cream underneath (think its bad idea putting this down at past midnight… need some crem brule right now!) will forbid you from trying anything else, for sure!
