Last week I took a break from my baking experiments and dedicated my time towards making this adorable baby shower carriage cake! As I have no new recipe to share with you this week, I thought why not blog about the “making” of this cake instead, and share some decorating tips and new cake inspirations šŸ™‚

I love it when a customer gives me the space to be creative! Once i had a clear idea of what she wanted, I worked around that idea to create something elegant, adorable and unique!

She wanted a 2D carriage cake topper…. but I couldn’t stop my self from making this 3D topper!

I love that it is unique, and personalized to her party….How do you like it ?!! šŸ™‚

It was worth the extra effort I put in as she immediately fell in love with this adorable little sugar carriage, a keepsake for life  šŸ™‚ This message is a reward for that hard work!!

The cupcakes were so rushed and last minute that I didn’t have time to click any pictures- vanilla cupcakes with pink buttercream swirls.

The Cake Overview- Recipes, Fondant Application and Decoration

(1) Cake Recipes  and Supplies

    1. Top Tier is a pink vanilla cake – Used my vanilla cake recipe and tinted the batter with pink . For the frosting I used the american buttercream which is linked to the same recipe card. pink-vanilla-cake-filling-and-stacking

Ah, I love it all. And the cake might be my favorite part. My wedding colors (10 years ago) were black, white and green so Iā€™m partial to this classic theme!!
