{Tutorial Alert!} Freezing Cake Layers

When your cake is out of the oven and done cooling to room temp, you can preserve the cake layers, unfrosted, right away. Here is how I do mine.
STEP 1
Brush away loose crumbs. Spread a sheet of cling film and place your cake directly on it. wrap the cling film around the cake 3 times rolling the sides each time.
STEP 2
Spread a sheet of foil and place the wrapped cake layer on it and wrap with foil again. Roll edges to seal the cake.
STEP 3
label with details of date and flavor. Use ideally within 2 weeks up to 4 weeks.
