Paris in 5 Days- Top 10 places to visit and Desserts to try!!
4. Cannele
Easily found in almost any Patisserie, this is another pastry originated in France ! It is a soft and tender petite pastry with vanilla custurd in the center. A harder, portable version of the creme Brulee that we found ideal for handing out to kids while we were on the go.
5. Muffins
The English style muffins were originated in Wales which I read were nothing like this. This is served mostly as a breakfast accompaniment but these chocolate muffins are great for anytime dessert, especially for those that find cupcakes too sweet! This was after a heavy Crepe lunch meal in Paris, needed something not too sweet so took a muffin and coffee to go- Just as little Dhurvan says, “yummy to my tummy!”
6. Treats from Shakespeare Cafe & Co.
A noteworthy cafe that any book buff must visit- add it to your “sights to see” too ! Pick your favorite dessert from the menu, grab a book from the shelf or simply enjoy the view of Notre Dame Cathedral as you enjoy your dessert!! We were strolling past this place and the children were tired at the time so couldn’t really sit down, but it is something i want to do in my next visit to Paris- added to my bucket list 🙂
What were your favorite sights and desserts from France ?!……..coming up next is Rennes!
